Some of you have been away from the courts so long that we have almost forgotten your faces (oh, no!). We would like to rectify that with a

COMEBACK TOURnament!!
Saturday, October 26
3:00 p.m. Food! Fun!! Croquet!!! Moonlight Croquet!!!! PRIZES!

Come together, celebrate our fabulous croquet family, catch up on club news, and participate in a TOURnament that pairs our summer players with those of you who have been away from the courts for a while.

September 14 is the evening of the CORN FULL MOON----which means we will most likely not be able to see where we are hitting as the evening moves into night and the fabulous full moon hides behind the buildings around the train tracks, but come anyway! Your Moon Pin from the last Full Moon Tournament will entitle you to a Discount from the entry fee!!

Entry fee? Oh, yes. For the low, low price of $10.00 per person (discounted, as mentioned above, for people who bring their Moon Pins) you will be privileged to play in the Comeback Matchup Tournament. Tournament play starts at 5:00; we’ll break for dinner, and then..... Moonlight! This will be a potluck reunion (no rubber chicken here): bring something to eat or drink. Water will be provided. Feel free to bring guests.

Here's the deal: First, please come. Second, please tell Judy Warren you're coming by replying to this email, and when you do, let her know whether you have or haven't played in the last two months (that is, after June 1). This will turn out to be important. Don't worry about being rusty or out of practice---you are precisely the people we'd like to get to know again. The people who haven't played will be sent a list of the people who have, and you will be forming doubles teams consisting of one person who has been playing this summer, and one person who hasn't. That ought to make for a really fun tournament---if we get enough people, we'll play on both the North and South Courts. --
